Bio
As a child I checked out all the “How to Draw” books from my local library, copied all the cute birthday cards I received, and knitted while sitting on the monkey bars in primary school.
Even though my best subject at school was math, art college suited me better. I experimented with media, settling on chalk pastels as my go to. With a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration I was often asked to make posters and newsletters for various volunteer groups over the years. I helped my family grow, and doodled in my spare time.
Fast forward to the present, I have discovered a passion for digital art. And birds - I’ve ALWAYS loved birds! I remember lying in bed as a child listening to the cuckoo. And every Spring a noisy nest full of house martin chicks would be raised next to my bedroom window. Over the years my dad gave me umpteen birdhouses that he made from scrap wood, and I watched many a bluebird make a nest. So when deciding what to draw, it's always my feathered friends!
Recently I decided to expand my creative hobby into something more. I hope you enjoy my bird creations as much as I enjoy making them.
My artwork is available online as high quality prints. You can find them on Etsy.
I also sell at local festivals and art shows.
